Wisdom is...

Many of my clients are extremely wise but they don’t know it! They have endured considerable pain—childhood physical/verbal/sexual abuse, a husband’s affair, loss of a child. They don’t necessarily think of these events as a way they have become more wise-in fact, they often tend to think of them as evidence of some way they have failed.

I try to help them think differently about the things that have happened in their lives, including recognizing how they have survived and coped, and that just getting through is an accomplishment!
